The WA Government has confirmed that it has reached an agreement with QBE Insurance and Calliden Insurance to continue providing coverage to builders for the next 3 years. This follows the exit of 3 insurers in the last 12 months. See the media release here

Vero Insurance has announced that as of 30 September 2010 they will be withdrawing as a service provider from the NSW Home Warranty Insurance market. In order to ensure continuity of cover, brokers will need to work with builders during the period 1 July 2010 to 30 September to select which insurance agent they wish to use for home warranty insurance from 1 Octover.
