NSW Warranty Changes

From 1 July 2010, the NSW Self Insurance Corporation (SICorp) has taken over as the single insurer for the provision of home warranty insurance cover in NSW. SICorp has appointed QBE Insurance and Calliden Insurance to act as insurance agents for the government. VIC Warranty Changes

The Victorian Government has now taken over Domestic Building Insurance (DBI). The government insurance arm, Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) has entered into an agreement with QBE Insurance to provide DBI to builders in Victoria. For more information please visit VMIA website

Construction All Risk Insurance

Construction All Risk Insurance is now available to all BEA Builders. BEA along with their partner, CRIB, can now arange Construction All Risk Insurance. Contact us today to obtain a quote.

Becoming a BEA Builder

Application Process

To gain accreditation, builders are assessed under a number of different criteria. These criteria includes;

financial check
previous client checks
professional referees checks

Applications are normally processed within 10 working days providing all the required information is provided.

How to Apply

To apply simply;

1. download the Application Form along with the BEA Builder Agreement.
2. complete both the Application Form & Builder Agreement, ensuring all pages that require signatures have been signed
3. post the Application Form & Builder Agreement along with payment to:

Approved Applicants

Approved applicants will be able to register projects for Home Warranty/Indemnity Insurance immediately. In addition, approved applicants will be accredited as a BEA Builder and provided with a Builder pack containing the following items;

Brochures to hand out to clients
Bumper Stickers with the stamp of approval to prove you are a BEA Builder
Builder Manual & CD containing useful information & resources
Project Registration Form to register projects
