From 1 July 2010, the NSW Self Insurance Corporation (SICorp) has taken over as the single insurer for the provision of home warranty insurance cover in NSW. SICorp has appointed QBE Insurance and Calliden Insurance to act as insurance agents for the government. The Victorian Government has now taken over Domestic Building Insurance (DBI). The government insurance arm, Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) has entered into an agreement with QBE Insurance to provide DBI to builders in Victoria. For more information please visit VMIA website
